Contact Info and Office Hour (WongMengKheng)


Description on individual ideation


My ideation of creating the page on the operating office hours and contact information will be a KISS principle that is “Keep It Short and Simple”! This principle will result in white space effect.


Objective


My aim in creating this link is to inform the readers about the basic information that they must know. In this case, contacting info and operating office hours will be revealed in a more organized way.


GUI Design





As you can see from the design, the navigation bar will remain the same like our blog. But, for the button part, there will be 2 main components, which are Operating office hour and Contact information.

The body content of Operating office hour will be divided into weekdays and weekends.Contact information will consists of a travel agent's address, phone number, Facebook page and email address. I will insert some art that are created using Adobe Photoshop in my links to make it more attractive.

From the flowchart, I will divide my page in Operating office hour and Contact information. I will use Adobe Dreamweaver to set up my web page.  

However, there are some addition during the project. I created another link for emergency case contact information. This is to help the readers to know the information easier by just clicking at the side.

Output of Information Page


 The print screen above shows my individual creation of the Information Page of the website. Firstly, I design the 3 buttons for the readers to click to get more elaboration. I added a new button, which is Emergency so ease the readers' understanding as I realized my planning earlier is not very good. Using Photoshop,the process will be as follow:


This plank is found on the internet and I would like to use it as my buttons' background as it matches with my website's topic about nature. I rotated it to be horizontal and adjust the transparency level so that my words can appear clearer.

1)Contact Info.




I found this on the internet and used this phone symbol to represent letter C in contact info. Text is inserted and placed at the center.



2) Office Hour

I found that this clock is suitable to represent letter O (Office hour) . Same method is applied in this. I typed in the words and added outer shadow at the plank so that it appear nicer.


3) Emergency Case


Again, I've inserted a symbol beside the title to synchronize with the Contact Info and Office hour buttons to achieve the Unity effect in Principles of Design.


After all the Photoshop process is completed, I started Dreamweaver and inserted them at the left side,
For the content, I keep the text short but detailed.
Then, I saved all into a folder and start linking the 3 buttons and checked the output before I submit to my group leader to compile.

The office will be open from 9.00 morning to 5.30 in the evening, from Sundays to Thursdays.
The office will not be operating on every Fridays and Saturdays.
